Think Twice Before Investing in Expensive Printing Supplies

When my custom-made t-shirt business began to suffer financially, I wanted to begin handing out printed advertisements and having take-home t-shirt pricing materials printed to advertise my low prices that many people didn't know about. Although I had great supplies to print on t-shirts, they differ greatly from traditional printers. I was looking to invest in a good laser printer, but I came across an online advertisement for a printing service while I was browsing. I did some quick calculations, and I figured out that I could have a huge number of professional printed materials made several times each year for just a fraction of the investment price of that new printer I was looking into. I created this blog to share my experience with other business owners looking to save cash wherever they can. For me, I saved greatly by outsourcing printing of my promotional items.

Are You Shopping During The Year For Christmas Of 2019?

Did the expense of Christmas 2018 hit you right where it hurts—in your wallet? If so, you might be thinking that, rather than shopping right before next Christmas, you'll do some shopping each month that leads up to Christmas of 2019. If so, here are some ideas that might help.

Make A Detailed Plan - Consider setting a deadline for all of your shopping to be finished. For example, perhaps you could set Halloween as the deadline. By doing that, you could enjoy next Thanksgiving and not even have to worry about the sales that hit at that time. And, you could still personalize each gift, showing that you gave attention to each of the recipients of your Christmas presents. If you decide to do that, set an amount of money that you can spend and divide it into ten months. Then, don't go over that amount or you'll run into money problems.

Little Gifts - Think of purchasing things like personalized coffee mugs for those on your Christmas list that receive smaller, maybe less important, gifts from you. For example, if you are in a book club and you know that you'll be exchanging Christmas gifts with the other participants, think of how much fun it will be for them to open a coffee mug with their picture on it. Personalized coffee mugs are unique, and the bonus is that they're super affordable.

Larger Gifts - Have you seen custom printed blankets before? Perhaps you saw them right before Christmas 2018 and you felt bad that you had waited too long to order them to give as presents to people like your parents, siblings, extended family members, and even close friends. Custom printed blankets are not only affordable, but the printing will last for a long time. Consider giving your parents a blanket with their wedding picture on it. Then, add to the gift by choosing custom pillowcases that have a more recent picture on them.

Did your family have a reunion this year? If so, you probably have a lot of pictures left over from that reunion. Consider selecting your favorite ones and turning them into custom photo blankets and wall art. For example, if there's a goofy picture that was taken of all the kids, think of giving each one of them a throw pillow with that picture on it. It will certainly be a reminder of a fun time.
